MPEG 1 Layer II and III decoder and player for AA3000+ Amigas
Playback is via Paula at '14 bit' fidelity

#Requirements
Requires 68030 or better CPU, DSP3210 on board, 2MB Fast RAM,
Amiga OS 3.1 or higher

#Support
Creating this software took hundreds of hours. If you would like to support
this development or drop me a thank you, please consider using Ko-Fi and
making a donation via Ko-Fi.com/WranglerAmiga

#Usage as a device
To use dsp3210mpeg.device in AMPlifier:
- Save dsp3210mpeg.device in DEVS:
- In AMPlifier, under the menu option Settings/Configuration, in the Audio
I/O tab, select MPEG audio player and Configure.
- In the Decoder tab set layer I and II and layer III to Hardware and choose
MPEG Device to be devs:dsp3210mpeg.device and unit 0
- Set the buffers as high as you can spare for your system

#Usage as an MHI player
Also included is an MHIMDEV library to allow the device to be used via MHI,
for example in AmigaAMP:
- Save dsp3210mpeg.device in DEVS:
- Copy mhimdev.library to LIBS:MHI/
- In AmigaAMP, select MHI support via the System tab, engine field as
MHI-Driver and select the driver from the step above

#Configuration
dsp3210mpeg.device supports an environment variable DSP3210MPEG, which
currently has the following switches:

L2MONO - if set, this forces mono output on layer II files
QUAL - if set, this sets the frequency divisor to 2 (default is 4)
HQUAL - if set, this sets the frequency divisor to 1 (default is 4) on MP2s,
and supersedes QUAL if that is also set. For MP3s, HQUAL sets the
		 divisor to 2 for performance

Example: setenv DSP3210MPEG QUAL
would set the frequency divisor to 2 for MP2 and MP3 files

#Performance
On a stock AA3000+ with onboard 25 MHz CPU and 50 MHz DSP3210, all MP2s and
MP3s can be played from a fast drive attached to the onboard SCSI chain.
Tested with a ZuluSCSI

With thanks to Michael Henke and the source code for delfinampeg.device for
Delfina DSP and Stephane Tavenard for MPEGA, both of which provided
inspiration for this software
